Brittany O. L. Smith, Esquire

Ms. Smith is an attorney who is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Virginia. She joined Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak in February, 2015. She works in various aspects of Elder Law including long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, guardianships, veterans benefits, special needs planning, tax planning, and estate administration. She leads the firm’s Long-Term Care Planning and Estate Administration departments.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in politics from Messiah College in May 2011 and her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in May 2014. While at West Virginia University, she served as a Student Attorney with the West Virginia Innocence Project where she worked on investigating cases of prisoner’s potential innocence as well as working on several legislative initiatives. She was a member of the Lugar Trial Association and competed in several national trial competitions. Ms. Smith also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for several Common Pleas Court Judges.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Virginia Bar Associations, the Lycoming County Bar Association, The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (“NAELA”), and is an accredited attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
