Williamsport―Steinbacher & Stahl, an elder care law firm located in Williamsport, has announced its recent acquisition of a well-established State College, PA, law firm. Julieanne E. Steinbacher, Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation (CELA), and her law partner Adrianne J. Stahl, Esquire, announced that the acquisition of Goodall & Yurchak, P.C. was effective on May 1, 2015. The law firm will move forward as Steinbacher, Stahl, Goodall & Yurchak.
Amos Goodall and Kathleen Yurchak, as well as the State College office located on South Atherton Street, plan to continue serving their current and future clients as they have in the past, with no anticipated changes to their staff, office location, or scope of legal services. Goodall observed that the two firms are very similar in size and culture, combining practice strengths that are highly complementary.
Historically, Goodall & Yurchak, P.C. has served clients in the State College and surrounding region through a variety of legal services. While both firms focus on estate planning, special needs planning, and estate administration, Goodall & Yurchak, P.C. offers personal injury, litigation, employment and labor law, bankruptcy, and debt resolution services. Steinbacher & Stahl advocates planning before the point of need, in advance of a health care crisis. It offers crisis nursing home planning, wealth protection and tax planning, and business succession planning. In addition to legal services, Steinbacher & Stahl established The Elder & Special Needs Resource Center in Williamsport in 2008 to provide information and seminars that explore issues of interest to the public. As a former geriatric social worker, founding partner Julieanne E. Steinbacher, CELA, views this as one way to bridge the gap between the legal world and the aging network. According to Steinbacher, “Being proactive in early legal planning and facilitating access to providers―while educating the community about resources that help―results in a much better outcome for seniors and their families.”
According to Steinbacher, Stahl, Goodall & Yurchak, combining the Williamsport and State College offices will result in a comprehensive range of legal services and resources available to current and future clients in both locations.
