Julieanne E. Steinbacher, Esquire, CELA

Julieanne E. Steinbacher is the founding shareholder of Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, an elder care and special needs planning law firm established in 2002. The firm also offers its clients quality representation in litigation matters. Julieanne is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation and holds an LLM degree in elder law and estate planning from Western New England School of Law. She has a “Superb” AVVO Rating for attorneys and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star. Julieanne is a recipient of a 2015 Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Special Achievement Award, which recognized her dedication and commitment to the PBA’s Quality of Life /Balance Committee.

Julieanne is the President of Estate & Long Term Care Planning, Inc., a company which provides continuing education for professionals in Pennsylvania and coaching for attorneys throughout the nation. Julieanne has lectured extensively for Pennsylvania State University Tax Institutes and Tax Week, PICPA-Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Tax Practitioners-PA Chapter, Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants, Elder Law Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Association Annual Meeting, Back to Basics, Tax Pro Seminars, and the University of Illinois.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Julieanne was employed by AARP and as a geriatric social worker at Valley View Nursing Facility. As a gerontologist and former social worker, she has seen the devastating effect a lack of planning for long-term care needs can have. As an attorney, her goal is to provide a bridge between legal services and the aging network. In 2008, she developed The Elder & Special Needs Resource Center in Williamsport, which hosts frequent public seminars about issues affecting those who are aging. She has co-authored The Pennsylvania Trust Guide (Editions I and II), The Pennsylvania Special Needs Planning Guide, as well several books in a Protect Your Family series that inform people about planning for the second half of life.

Julieanne resides in Jersey Shore with her husband Donald, their three children, Cortney, Stephanie, and DJ, and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and diving into a good book.
