Gerry Scott joined Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak in October 2026 as a part-time associate attorney.

Prior to joining the firm, Gerry worked as an Assistant District Attorney for twelve years, primarily in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. For much of his time spent prosecuting criminal cases, he worked on trials and appeals ranging from assaults, drug offenses, and homicides to cases involving the financial exploitation of care-dependent people. During his career as a prosecutor, he also developed a sub-specialty in the examination of expert witnesses at trial.

Gerry is a graduate of Cornell Law School and received his undergraduate degree in government, history, and anthropology from Cornell as well.

Gerry’s current practice focuses on estate planning and pre-planning.
