Krista Ottinger joined Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak on September 5, 2023, as an Elder Care Navigator and Social Worker. She is based out of the firm’s Wyalusing and Wysox offices and also serves clients in the Wilkes-Barre area.
Krista brings extensive experience in social work, having spent 18 years with Martha Lloyd Community Services. During that time, she served as a Residential Supervisor for 13 years, where she advocated for individuals, ensured compliance with ODP regulations, and supervised program staff. She also worked as a Program Specialist Supervisor for five years. Earlier in her career, Krista worked as a Mental Health Technician with Beacon Light and served as a CPS Intake Caseworker and Caseworker II with Children and Youth Services.
She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Mansfield University and has built her career around advocacy, safety, and providing meaningful support to individuals and families.
In her role at the firm, Krista focuses on listening and supporting clients through every stage of care planning. She helps guide families in finding appropriate care options, serves as an advocate and liaison between the firm, clients, and care facilities, and provides education to help families make informed decisions. She also facilitates caregiver support groups, offering an additional level of guidance and connection for those navigating caregiving responsibilities.
Krista lives in Sugar Run, Pennsylvania with her husband, Albert. She is the proud mother of two daughters and a grandmother of four. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, horseback riding, walking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband also own and manage an Airbnb property in New Albany, Pennsylvania, which they transformed together.
