Episode 7 of the Second Half of Life Podcast is now available. In this episode, titled "What's New in Elder Law in 2020 - Part 2," Attorney Brittany Smith discusses some of the recent changes to laws affecting those in their second half of life, with a focus on policies that could affect long-term care planning and estate administration. These changes are important for all current and future clients to know about if they wish to safeguard their financial futures. Among the legal topics also reviewed are different types of Powers of Attorney, Last Will and Testament, and why it is important to review current Powers of Attorney and Last Wills and Testaments already in place periodically, ways to pay for long-term care while also protecting assets, trusts and more. This episode is a follow-up to Episode 3, "What's New in Elder Law in 2020 - Part 1, which featured Attorneys Julie Steinbacher and Landon Hodges discussing recent changes to laws with a focus on estate and wealth protection planning (also available on YouTube).
