For the second time in three years, a record-tying seven attorneys from the elder law firm of Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak have been named 2025 Super Lawyers® and Rising Stars in the annual rating service compiled by Thomson Reuters.
Attorney Julie Steinbacher, CELA*, the founding shareholder of SGY, as well as Attorneys Amos Goodall and Kathleen Yurchak were named Super Lawyers, which represents the top five percent of practicing attorneys in each state. Attorneys Jenna Franks, Landon Hodges, Megan Ingram and Pat Santucci were each named Rising Stars.
Produced and compiled by Thomson Reuters, Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is patented and multiphased, and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Selections are made annually and on a state-by-state basis.
The Rising Stars selection process is the same as that for Super Lawyers, with one key difference: candidates must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers selection process, with those not selected as Super Lawyers but meeting either of one of the Rising Stars eligibility requirements remaining eligible for the Rising Star designation. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, Rising Stars represent no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in each state.
This marks Julie's sixth consecutive inclusion in Super Lawyers, as she has been on this list each year since 2020. She was also previously a Rising Star for three straight years from 2011-13. One of just 65 Certified Elder Law Attorneys (CELA) in Pennsylvania, she is also one of only 84 Fellows of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in the state, and one of just eight attorneys in Pennsylvania with both credentials (as of June 2025).
