Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak is proud to announce that Attorney Julieanne E. Steinbacher has been selected to serve as the Zone 4 Director on the Board of PABAR-PAC, the political action committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
This important statewide leadership appointment provides Julie with another opportunity to advocate for Pennsylvania attorneys, the clients they serve and the fair administration of justice throughout the Commonwealth.
Supporting Pennsylvania’s Legal Community
PABAR-PAC works to help elect members of the Pennsylvania Legislature who understand and support issues affecting the legal profession. The organization supports candidates from all political parties and focuses solely on races for the Pennsylvania Legislature.
Decisions made by Pennsylvania lawmakers can directly affect attorneys, their clients and the court system. Issues of importance to PABAR-PAC include court funding, civil legal aid, access to justice, children’s rights, elder law, civil rights, real property matters, the unlicensed practice of law and potential taxes on legal services.
Through her role as Zone 4 Director, Julie will help advance PABAR-PAC’s efforts to educate legislators about the legal process and the essential role attorneys play in protecting individual rights, resolving disputes and serving Pennsylvania communities.
“As attorneys, we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines when decisions are being made that affect our profession, our clients and the administration of justice,” Julie said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important work and to help ensure that the voice of Pennsylvania’s legal community is heard.”
A Continued Commitment to Leadership and Advocacy
Julie is the founding shareholder of Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, an elder care and special needs planning law firm established in 2002. She is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and holds an LL.M. in elder law and estate planning.
Throughout her career, Julie has been a dedicated advocate for older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers and families navigating complex legal and long-term care decisions. She has also remained committed to strengthening the legal profession and encouraging attorneys to use their knowledge and experience to improve the communities they serve.
Her appointment to the PABAR-PAC Board reflects that longstanding commitment to advocacy, education and professional leadership.
The work of elder law attorneys is often directly influenced by decisions made at the state level. Legislation involving long-term care, public benefits, guardianship, estate planning, health care and the rights of older adults can have a significant impact on Pennsylvania families. Having experienced attorneys involved in legislative advocacy helps ensure that lawmakers understand how proposed policies may affect the people and communities those laws are intended to serve.
Helping the Legal Profession Be Heard
The Pennsylvania Bar Association works with legislators and their staff to develop and advocate for legislation, communicate policy positions and provide insight into issues affecting Pennsylvania attorneys and the justice system.
PABAR-PAC complements that work by supporting legislative candidates who recognize the importance of a strong legal profession and an accessible, effective justice system.
Julie’s new position will allow her to contribute her perspective as an elder law attorney, business owner and longtime advocate for Pennsylvania families. It also provides an opportunity to help strengthen communication between the legal community and those making decisions in Harrisburg.
Please join everyone at Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak in congratulating Attorney Julieanne E. Steinbacher on this significant leadership achievement.
We are proud to see Julie continue using her voice, experience and passion to support Pennsylvania’s legal community and the clients it serves.
