Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, an elder law firm with seven locations throughout northeastern, north central and central Pennsylvania, has been named a Top 100 Organization by Pennsylvania Business Central in its annual list of Top 100 organizations. Additionally, Attorney Julie Steinbacher, CELA, the firm's founding shareholder, was named to the 2026 Top 100 People list by the same publication. These lists by the business publication recognize leading organizations in their chosen fields, "bringing new ideas, technology and services to their counties and spheres of influence," as well as "people who think bigger, go further, and elevate those around them." Nominees for both lists from PA Business Central's 23-county readership are submitted and the Top 100 are selected by an editorial committee due to their positive impacts in the business community of Central Pennsylvania.

This marks the eighth consecutive year that Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak has been named in the Top 100 Organizations list. It has also been included on this list several other times in the past, including in 2017. This latest honor adds to a string of recent honors for the firm and several of its associates. Last year, the firm had seven of its attorneys named Super Lawyers® or Rising Stars in Thomson Reuters' annual rating service. In 2024, SGY was named to the Best Law Firm® rankings by Best Lawyers in its annual Best Law Firm Rankings, an annual peer-to-peer rankings service, which marked the second straight year that SGY was listed in these rankings. SGY was also named to U.S. News & World Report's "Best Law Firms" in Pennsylvania in 2018, and was awarded the Business Partnership of the Year by the PA Future Business Leaders of America in 2020. The firm was also named to Pennsylvania Business Central's Fifty to Follow Women-Owned Businesses (formerly called the Top 50 Woman Owned Businesses) last year for the fifth consecutive year, and the eighth time in the last 10 years.Individually, Attorneys Jenna Franks and Landon Hodges earned their Certified Elder Law Attorney certifications (CELA) in 2024, giving the firm three CELAs, the most of any firm in SGY's geographic footprint and the second-most of any law firm in Pennsylvania, which has just 65 CELAs throughout the entire state (as of April 2026).

This year also marks the seventh straight year that Julie has been recognized on the Top 100 People list, and the ninth time overall. In addition to 2020-26, she was also named to the list in both 2016 and 2018. The founding shareholder of Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, Julie is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation - one of just 65 in Pennsylvania - and has a "superb" AVVO rating for attorneys and has been named a Super Lawyer® for the last six consecutive years. Julie has lectured extensively for several organizations including the Elder Law Institute, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and many more, and is also the president of Estate & Long Term Care Planning, Inc. She has also authored several books in a Protect Your Family series that informs people about planning for the second half of life. Julie, along with Attorney Jenna Franks, co-published the 2024 Supplement to the Pennsylvania Trust Guide, 5th edition, which was published by the George T. Bisel Company, Inc. Julie is also a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), one of only 84 in Pennsylvania, and one of only eight in all of Pennsylvania to be both an ACTEC Fellow and a CELA. Julie also holds an LLM degree in elder law and estate planning. An LLM is Master of Law degree, and a graduate qualification in the field of law. It was created for attorneys to further expand their knowledge or study a specialized area of law. In 2025, she received the inaugural Louise Larzelere Chatham Award from the Lycoming Law Association. Established in 2024, this award commemorates the 100th anniversary of the admission of Lycoming County's first female attorney to the bar. In honor of Louise Larzelere Chatham’s groundbreaking achievement, steadfast commitment to justice, advocacy for women’s rights, and dedication to the community, this award recognizes a woman who embodies these same values and contributions to the legal profession. It also serves to celebrate the significant progress women have made in the past century.
